What is your value – your purpose?

The value of our lives is not determined by what we do for ourselves. The value of our lives is determined by what we do for others. – Simon Sinek

How many people’s lives have you touched today? When you go to bed at night, do you think, “What did I accomplish today?”  That’s how I have always thought.  Now I am trying to reframe my thoughts.  “What value did I add to someone’s life today?”  That is success not if you got everything checked off your to do list.  Yes that to-do list drives us but does it make us happy – probably not. Next week at the PAEYC Conference, I will be helping students find what drives them and brings value to others.

This week I am reading Start with Why by Simon Sinek preparing for the conference.  I hope to have several posts in the next couple of days on this subject empowering others to find their why.
