Why is training important?
Training is a chance for teachers and directors to expand their knowledge base and learn tools to deal with the challenges they face everyday. It is a tough time all across the country but especially in Texas as our centers face the disaster of Harvey and the shooting in Sutherland Springs. Teachers, parents, children need tools to cope with these disasters. stephaniElearning offers Trauma and Mindfulness training and is available to come onsite or offer a live webinar.
Addressing Weaknesses
Everyone of us has weaknesses. Training allows you to strengthen the skills you do possess and offer solutions to problems or weaknesses you are facing. It helps meet and exceed standards set forth by the state and accrediting agencies. It builds confidence and confident employees perform better.
Improved Employee Performance
We are designed to learn. It is one of our basic needs. An employee who receives the necessary training is better able to perform her job. An employee that knows the expectations of the employer and safety practices and proper procedures for basic tasks will perform better. They will build their confidence. Confidence is not a natural trait – it is a learned skill. Learning and doing creates confidence. Confident employees perform better and bring new ideas to the table.
Consistency
“A structured training and development program ensures that employees have a consistent experience and background knowledge. The consistency is particularly relevant for the company’s basic policies and procedures. All employees need to be aware of the expectations and procedures within the company. This includes safety, discrimination and administrative tasks. Putting all employees through regular training in these areas ensures that all staff members at least have exposure to the information.”

Employee Satisfaction
Employees that receive regular training are more satisfied with their jobs. They feel important if you take the time and allow them to grow personally and professionally. It is important to train the employee with industry standards and requirements but it is also important to offer training that helps them grow personally. Personal growth creates happier employees. Be on the lookout for my seminar, Start the New Year with a Better You where I will give employees tools to face daily challenges and build confidence and courage.
